No, we haven't fallen off the face of the earth! Sorry for the absence lately, but life with a 7 1/2 (almost 8!) month old baby is crazy hectic but so.much.fun!
Here is a photo catch-up of the recent activities happening in our neck of the woods.
E now eats all her meals in her highchair! She use to sit in the boppy and that worked for a little while, but once she started to arch her back to get away from foods she didn't like (which, lets be honest, she loves to eat anything nowdays!), we knew we needed to move her into something more stable. she loves the view, and that she can hit her hands on the tray and it makes noise.
She is working on trying to feed herself, and gets better at it each passing day. Somedays though, she ends up with food
in her lap, on her cheeks/forehead, under her neck rolls everywhere.
Thankfully, she isn't a picky eater, and will eat just about anything we give her. here, she's eating butternut squash (and clearly loves it)
This photo is behind, but it shows her tooth! She now currently has the two bottom teeth, and is slowly working on one of the top ones. love her little joker smile!
We have upgraded to the bath seat! She loves to sit in the water and splash with her hands, and boy does she make a huge mess!
Clearly, bath time is hilarious!
Since we have laminate flooring through the living room/kitchen area, we knew we needed a softer place for her to sit (remember how I mentioned that she fell backwards and hit her head twice?). I ordered these mats for her, and she loves them!
She LOVES Copper! and don't let this picture fool you, he loves her too :)
Now that her hair is starting to grow, she gets bed head after bath night.
We are slowly working our way up to having her stay in the nursery when we are at church. The past two times have both ended in tears, but this past week, I sat in there with her for a little while, and then walked out to listen to the service, and then came back to this! She is slowly adjusting, and it will take a few more tries, but we are getting there!
Girlfriend loves people food! Here, she's helping me eat my toast on Sunday morning.
She was dressed to the nines ready for the Seahawks game this past week. For the Superbowl, we will have to figure something out though, B is a Seahawks fan and I'm a Broncos fan..
Our good friends had a baby at the beginning of January, and they came over to watch football on Sunday. Needless to say, the girls enjoyed their first playdate :)
She is so happy!
Her eyes look more and more green in photos! And check out those cheeks!
She's been able to hold her bottle by herself for a while now, but is pretty stubborn when it comes to holding her sippy cup at mealtimes. She does well when the cup is fairly full, but I think it is a little heavy for her. (or she is clever and just pretends!)
She learned how to clap! It might be a fluke, but she seems to understand the word, and then mimics us!
