Thankful

I have tried to write this post countless times, and each time, it seems that my words are never good enough to accurately describe just how thankful I truly am.  We live such an amazing life, chock full of so many amazing people, details, events, things, and trying to put it into words is difficult.  God has blessed us with so many amazing things, and while we thank Him everyday for those, words are never enough for how grateful we are.

So, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, i've made a short list of the things i am the most thankful for.  If you are thankful for someone in your life, be sure to let them know how much you appreciate them.

I am thankful for my husband.
Without him, i wouldn't be the woman and wife I am today.  He challenges me on a daily basis to be the best I can be.  He is my unconditional supporter and my biggest cheerleader in life.  He loves me unconditionally, even when I dont deserve it, and accepts me for who I am, inspite of all my faults.  He is the best father i can imagine for our daughter, and words can't describe how much he means to me.  Going through this journey we call 'life' has been a rollercoaster, and I couldn't imagine a better partner to go through it with.

I am thankful for my daughter.
You never know true love at first sight until you have a child.  From the minute she was born, we were hooked on her, and would sacrifice absolutely anything for her.  She is the constant joy in our day, and the amazing hope that we have for the future.  Knowing that she came from us, and that we share a bond that nothing will ever break, is an amazing feeling.  We are incredibly blessed to have this beautiful person in our lives and thank God for her everyday.

I am thankful for my family.
I grew up in such a close knit family, and i count it as an incredible blessing.  Sure, we have had our struggles and our fair share of fights, but without the love and support of my parents and my siblings, i wouldn't be where I am today.  They taught me the importance of so many things: faith, self confidence, hard work, love, respect and happiness.  They have been a constant safety net in this crazy world, and without their support, I don't know where'd I'd be today.

I am thankful for my in-laws.
Yes you read that right.  God has not only blessed me with an amazing husband, but also with a great set of in-laws.  By marrying into their family, i gained a second set of parents, and a few younger siblings (which i never thought i'd have!).  They have welcomed me with open arms and accepted me as another daughter, and for that, I will always be thankful.

I am thankful for our dog Copper.
This may seem silly to some, but he was our first pet together, our first 'responsible' endeavor as a married couple and a true member of our family.  Before we had Emerson, Copper was our first 'child', and brought so much joy to our lives.  He is a great running buddy, a constant source of entertainment, and a fantastic hunting partner for Brandon.  He has been such a wonderful addition to our family, and truly loves us, and loves Emerson.  I cant wait for Emerson to be a bit older and be able to play with him and enjoy him as much as we do.

I am thankful for my struggles.
In the grand scheme of things, the struggles we face on a daily basis may appear minor, but the hard times that we go through (both individually and as a family unit) help make us stronger.  From military deployments, sicknesses, death, fights and mistakes, the trials that we go through help us learn to rely on eachother and trust that we are loved and cared for.  Knowing that I have a family that will surround us with love and support in good times and bad is something I will forever be grateful for.

I hope you are able to find something to be thankful for, not only during this time of year, but all year long.

From our family to yours -- Happy Thanksgiving!!
